21-Day Racial Equity challenge
| Please join WE GP as we embark on the FSNE 21-Day Racial Equity Habit Building Challenge together! As an organization, we are committed to understanding and undoing racism and we see this as an opportunity to take action. WhoThis particular Challenge started in 2015 as a capacity-building project of the Food Solutions New England network for food system colleagues to center its racial equity commitment. Since then, the Challenge has grown to nationwide (and sometimes international) participation and beyond food systems. It is used by businesses, government offices, schools/universities, hospitals, and a wide variety of organizations; more than 40% of participants have no connection to the food industry. WE GP chose to participate in this Challenge as issues of land access, food, health, hunger, and others are of universal applicability. And we all eat! WhatThe 21 Day challenge is a commitment to deepening your understanding of, and willingness to confront, racism for twenty-one consecutive days in April of 2021. The Challenge will raise your awareness, change your understanding, and provide a start to shift the way you behave. People sign up and then receive daily email prompts from April 5-25 focused on a different theme each week, along with links to related resources (readings, video, audio) that take about 15 minutes. We can all easily participate in the transformative effort at our own pace.
